Youth Scribal Meetings


When:  2nd Monday of each month

Where:  Mistress Margaret Malise's house (please e-mail for directions)

What:  Scribes are always needed and the youngest scribe in the Middle Kingdom is 5 years old.  With this in mind, the Youth of the Barony are being invited to learn how to make scrolls, either for their own use or for donation as awards.  We are currently looking for a teacher and a location for twice monthly meetings on calligraphy and illumination.

What to bring:   Unlined paper, a pencil, a ruler, and a white eraser are a good start.  Other tools will be available.  If you have any calligraphy equipment of your own, feel free to bring it. 

Who:  All youth are invited to attend, gather information, meet other youth, and practice.   You do not need to be a member of the SCA to participate.

Why:  Because it's fun and you get to help out in a fun, creative way!
