From their press release: The Community Library in Salem, WI will be hosting a 2-day event celebrating Tolkiens Ring Trilogy, September 19-20, 2008. Called Frodo Fest, this free event will feature live bands, lembas bread tasting, art, classes in how to speak Elvish, and more. For additional information contact Liza Gilbert at lgilbert@community.lib.wi.us

From their email communications: "We will be starting at noon on Friday with activities geared toward the toddler set and will continue until 10pm that evening. Saturday is an all-day affair from 9am-10pm. We have a decent sized tract of land around the library where we can have multiple tents pitched and areas for several events happening at once.

The library staff will be holding classes in how to learn Elvish, face painting, screenings of the movies, book discussions, etc. that can all be arranged around your folks' schedules."

Their posted schedule is at: http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2008/09/14/29794-frodo-fest-schedule-posted/

Directions:
The most direct route out of Milwaukee is to take 94 south. 94 becomes 94/43 just out of Oak Creek. Follow 94/43 until you reach hwy 50, just outside of Kenosha. Take hwy 50 west to Paddock Lake. At Paddock Lake you will come to a lighted intersection with a Walgreens in front of you on the left and a place called "Brass Ball" in front of you on the right. Turn left at this intersection. About 1 mile down the road you will come to an intersection with Salem Grade School on the right and a John Deere dealership on the left. In front of you on your left you will see the library. There will be large murals set up around the grounds, so you cannot miss it.

All parking will be at Salem Grade School, but disregard the signs telling you that. We will be allowed to park at the library since we are a sponsor for this event. The staff will be keeping an eye out for you, but if you arrive early or late, you can ask for Vida, who is "stage manager" for this event, or Liza.
If Rose Marian is not available when you arrive, tell them that you're an SCA demonstrator and mention her name (Mary Sanger). They will direct you where to go.
